THE DESERT JEWEL


An easy poolside drink from a favorite hotel in Palm Springs, The Avalon. A boutique getaway, with a flowing series of courtyards, lawns, gardens and grounds, that reveal romantic pools and cabanas, a hidden spa, studios and suites, and historic bungalows. A relaxing hotel with an amazing restaurant and bar called Chi Chi, I want to share with you the recipe to one of my favorite drinks.

A gorgeous entry and lobby, giving you all the Palm Springs feels.

The lobby bar is a cozy, intimate bar to enjoy drinks, food and good company.

Now lets get to this drink!

The Desert Jewel is light and refreshing; a drink you can enjoy anytime of the day.

Desert Jewel


Ingredients:

1 ounce Absolute mandarin vodka

1 ounce Aperol

3/4 ounce grapefruit juice

1/2 ounce lemon juice

1/2 ounce agave syrup

2 ounces Veuve Clicquot champagne

Grapefruit peel (for garnish)


Instructions:

In a shaker add vodka, Aperol, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, agave syrup and ice. Shake and add champagne. Strain into cocktail glass with ice. Garnish with grapefruit peel. Makes 1.
