We are pleased to share the Big Reveal of our Sedona project with a literal "First Look" of the entry hall.
We were brought in to help design this home during the early phases of construction. Working closely with the client, we selected all the finishes and hard surfaces for this gorgeous ground-up building project.
The home itself is about 3500sf, with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, an office, and a gym.
It has breathtaking views of the surrounding Sedona landscape.

Setting the Stage: The Exterior
The structure itself is modern, with various materials on the outside creating texture and visual interest. The home and roof are intentionally kept a dark color to blend into the surrounding landscape.

Our client, who formerly had a home in Palm Springs, wanted to keep the vibe fun and site specific, but avoid any Sedona cliches.

The Entry
It is always important to me that the entry, no matter how large or small, set the tone for the design that will reveal itself inside the rest of the home.

The entry is a literal "first impression" that should give clues of the design that will unfold throughout the residence. When I set out to design an entry, I would want it to offer both a warm embrace and a bit of surprise.

A rug from Marc Phillips offers a warm, fuzzy welcome and a respite from the rugged desert landscape outside.

A custom-made hall table from Berman Rosetti provides a functional and dramatic focal point. The combination of two different woods, combined with molded metal legs, creates visual interest. The discreet drawers are a perfect spot for keys, sunglasses, and our client's dog leashes.
Our client purchased the midcentury metal wall sculpture when she had a home in Palm Springs. The rusted patina goes perfectly in its new location, while the artwork itself provides fond memories of our client's time in Palm Springs.
The stone animal sculpture is from our client's collection; we paired it with a new lamp made of metal, with travertine spheres adorning the surface. The heavily textured vases are available through our studio in Palm Springs.

Stonework from the home's exterior carries through into the entry hall. The light fixture is from Currey & Company. The custom bench is wrapped in a fabric by Elitis, with a Southwestern motif that references Native American patterns. Our client acquired the horse artwork for this new home.
I hope you enjoyed this tour!

Delightful. Crisp. Minimalist yet personally cozy. I love it!
Beautiful, Christopher, and nice touch, Keith. It's the little things that create the special.
