Morningside Country Club

After inheriting the property from the husband’s parents, our Newport Beach-based clients embarked on a gut renovation to reimagine this property for the next generation. Our team spearheaded this down-to-the-studs renovation, incorporating the previous generation’s antiques into a stylish and vibrant weekend home for a young family. Gianni Versace and our clients’ years living in Miami served as inspiration for the glamorous and eclectic design that mixes vintage finds, from nearly every decade back to the 1920s, alongside custom pieces of our firm’s own creation. A notable update is the sleek Italian modern kitchen, which is juxtaposed with light fixtures that date back to the late 1800s. Anchoring the large living room is a 24-foot long artwork made of “screens” of hand-painted Gracie wallpaper. The screens are in fact rolling closet doors, purchased from a 1960s estate in Rancho Mirage as it was set to undergo demolition.
