Ceres Road

2100 Square Feet
3 Beds / 3.5 Baths
Built 1961

This renovation of a 1961 Charles Du Bois home in Vista Las Palmas began with two simple questions from our new clients: “Is our idea for a large kitchen just crazy? Is it sacrilege to the classic floor plan? “Our clients – avid cookers who entertain frequently yet informally – had a big idea to expand the small midcentury kitchen into the formal dining room, creating a dramatic focal point and central hub for the home. Our team had never seen it done in this floor plan, but we believe in designing spaces for how the inhabitants actually use them. We brought their kitchen vision to life and went to lead a full renovation of the property’s interior and exterior. We created a classic but luxe midcentury look with terrazzo tile flooring, walnut cabinetry, and vintage-inspired furnishings. Italian mosaic tiles sparkle in the primary bath. Our team also designed the lush landscaping, creating gardens in both the front and back of the home to take advantage of the dramatic mountain views.
