I am: a former Broadway Chorus Boy who loves to make things as beautiful as possible, all while singing and maybe dancing a little.

Alarm Clock: 7:05 on gym days. 8:05 all others.

For Breakfast I usually have: I really try to implement Intermittent Fasting most weekday mornings waiting until at least noon to have my first meal. On Weekends it's bacon and eggs (no toast or hashbrowns per doctor's orders)

Perfect Palm Springs Day: No plans, no commitments, no stress. Indoors if it's above 100 degrees.

First Professional Job: I was an entertainer for over 20 years and my first professional gig was at King's Island theme park in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1988. I consider it the beginning of my life as an adult. I  met my best friend there and still keep in touch with many of those awesome people.

Favorite Palm Springs Neighborhood: I'm really enjoying my new neighborhood of Twin Palms.

Place to Dine Out in PS: I am loving the offerings at the new Thompson Hotel in Palm Springs. Both Lola Rose and Bar Issi have become my favorite go-to's.

Favorite Decadent Treat in PS: This is an easy one. On the ( now) rare occasion that I give in to my sweet tooth, I am headed straight to Kreem.  My two favorite are Lemon Meringue Pie and Ube, a vegan option. TOO GOOD!

Cocktail of Choice: These days I'm skipping the hard stuff and downing tons of Club Soda. I do love the fizz and my body is loving the change. When I finally decide to indulge again, it will be a very nice glass of champagne.

Inspiration: That's a hard one. I think I am always inspired passively rather than by what's directly in front of me. I unknowingly collect cues from personalities, flowers, buildings and locations ,and then they always come flooding out when I get in that "creative head space."

My Design Style: Contemporary and lightly layered. I love textured neutrals and sculptural forms. I will always opt for at least one super quirky chair, that is not the least bit comfortable, as long as it screams "look at me!"

My Design Pet Peeve: One? I only get one? I truly HATE row upon row of recessed can lights. Why is this a thing? Ceilings should not look like airport runways. I will also never understand the placement of thermostats  in the middle of large walls. I have seen so many contractors make this amateurish mistake. I could go on and on........

Working at Christopher Kennedy is: a wonderful second career. After 20 years in show business, I was unsure where to channel my talents. Christopher has taught me so much and I get to create beautiful spaces and make people happy. Different stage and different show, but still a performance.

Follow Along: On Instagram I go by the handle @the_decorhater. It seemed like a perfect name for me. I'm trying to get better about posting. You can follow me here.
