In 2020, this 1959 home, designed by architect Charles Du Bois, found the right pair of forward-thinking owners. As only the third stewards of the property, they knew they had to embark on a renovation befitting one of the first homes built by famed developers, Alexander Construction Company, on one of the largest lots in the historic Vista Las Palmas neighborhood. A renovation and expansion, designed by Corsini Stark Architects, added a new primary bedroom suite and detached casita pavilion that functions as both guest quarters and pool house. Our clients requested a design that was light, bright and full of color – something unmistakably midcentury modern, yet elegant.
