Balboa Circle

Christopher and David purchased this distressed property in the summer of 2020, during the depths of the pandemic. Built in 1978, the residence was one of the last custom homes constructed in Canyon Country Club, a Palm Springs neighborhood developed in the 1960s around the city’s first 18-hole golf course. A down-to-the-studs renovation allowed for subtle but meaningful changes to the floor plan, including the addition of a powder room and the creation of a separate guest house casita with a full kitchenette and laundry room. Together, David and Christopher designed an interior that quietly nods to the home’s 1970s origins, from cork wallcovering on the fireplace to a brass beaded curtain in the primary bedroom.
