PROJECT DETAILS

Christopher and David purchased this distressed property during the depths of the pandemic in the summer of 2020. They quickly dubbed it their “Forever Home Fixer” because it marked their return to the neighborhood they love, Indian Canyons. Built in 1978, it was one of the last custom homes built in Canyon Country Club, a neighborhood originally developed in the 1960s and featuring the first 18-hole golf course in Palm Springs. A down-to-the studs renovation allowed for subtle but meaningful alterations to the floor plan, including the addition of a powder room and the creation of a separate guest house “casita” boasting a full kitchenette and laundry room. David and Christopher created an interior that subtly references the 1970s era of the home, including cork wallcovering on the fireplace and a brass beaded curtain in the primary bedroom. Masculine hues of dark brown, beige, and black are accented with CK’s favorite color, dark green. Head over to our Blog to see in-depth stories and before and after photographs.
