JOHN ELLIS

48 @ Baristo II

Taking a decidedly modern yet unexpected approach, this townhome is defined by neutral tones punctuated by pops of rich color. Italian modern classics mix with strong artworks and vintage pieces. In the living room, a 1980s Pierre Cardin bar is illuminated by a Brutalist chandelier by Feldman. Nina Fowler’s charcoal drawing “Wild Ride” – itself a screen grab from a 1960s B-movie – commands the living room. A cut cowhide rug mingles effortlessly with Italian modern coffee tables, a sculptural organic chair, and a midcentury-inspired sofa by Christopher Kennedy.
