I had the pleasure of attending the spring High Point Market and let me tell you, it was fantastic! For 5 glorious days, I was surrounded by imaginative creations of forward-thinking designers from around the world. Just try to wrap your mind around 100+ countries represented in 11.5 million sq. ft of show space! In true Christopher fashion, I took plenty of pictures, but I only want to highlight a few of my favorites from the largest furnishing trade show in the world.
First up, antique rugs from Eliko! Eliko has been an international wholesale dealer of antique rugs for 20+ years. I highly recommend that you take some time to explore their selection the next time you are in the market for a decorative floor covering.
Next, we have the handmade glazed lamps of Charlie West. I love the deep and luscious colors of the glaze, bringing a simulateneously modern and vintage feel to classic shapes.
Feast your eyes on the hand-blown glass art of the DynastyGallery based in San Francisco, CA — my original hometown!
You know I love modern lighting, so I couldn’t pass this multi-colored pendant by SkLO or this green and transparent chandelier designed by Cyan Design.
Last but not least, I want to recognize a mix of my favorite colors successfully executed by my friend and lighting designer Jamie Young– can I just add that I love the mid-century pottery!
There you have it, a glimpse into my time at the High Point Market in High Point, NC. Now I don’t have to search consignment shops for ceramics…who am I kidding? That’s where I’ll be on the weekends, anyway!
